Score your business against the 12 areas we audit on every engagement.

101The framework

What the 12-area diagnostic is, and why we won't compromise on it.

Every Foundation engagement we ship starts with the same exercise: a 12-area intake document we don't deviate from. It covers offer economics, ICP and positioning, baseline metrics, sales process, tech stack, creative and brand, existing funnel assets, team capacity, goals and constraints, communication systems, legal paperwork, and qualitative context. Twelve areas, in that order, every time.

The reason we don't skip any of them is that the gaps tend to hide in the area you weren't looking at. Founders running a tight funnel often have a CRM that doesn't talk to the sales process. Teams with great brand work often have payment terms that aren't enforced. The diagnostic exists to surface the gap that's actually costing you, not just the one you noticed first.

This scorecard is the self-serve version of that intake. Same 12 areas, same philosophy. Score yourself honestly. The report will tell you exactly which area to look at first and what good looks like once you fix it. If we end up being the right partner to fix it, we'll say so. If we don't, we'll point you to whoever is.

01

A real diagnostic.

36 questions across the 12 areas we audit on every Foundation engagement. Designed to surface gaps, not flatter the operator.

02

Score by area.

Per-area scores out of 9, plus a total out of 108. The three lowest-scoring areas get a paragraph of operator commentary.

03

A PDF you can forward.

The report renders as a design-quality PDF and lands in your inbox. Read it solo, or send it to the team and have the argument together.

102Common questions

Before you start.

The fastest way to know if the scorecard is worth your eight minutes is to skim the answers below.

What does the scorecard actually do?
Walks you through 36 diagnostic questions across the 12 areas we audit when we run our Foundation onboarding intake. At the end, you get a total score (out of 108), per-area scores (out of 9 each), a maturity tier, and a paragraph of commentary on your three weakest areas, plus a PDF report.
How long does it take?
Around 8 minutes if you move steadily. The questions are answerable on intuition. If you find yourself wanting exact numbers, your gut answer is usually the right read of where the business is.
What do I get at the end?
A web report you can share, a downloadable PDF, and an email copy. The report includes a radar chart of your 12 area scores, the maturity tier you fall into, and specific commentary on what to fix first.
Is this just a sales funnel for booking calls?
No. The scoring is honest. If you score in the top tier, the report will tell you to keep doing what you're doing. If you score low, we'll suggest the path that fits, which is sometimes us and sometimes not. The not-a-fit page exists for a reason.
Do you save my answers?
Yes. Saved to our database alongside your email, so we can send you the PDF and so you can come back to the report later. Standard privacy practices apply; we don't sell or share scorecard data.
Can I retake it later?
Yes. Start a new session anytime. It's worth re-running every 90 days if you're working on the system; the score should move.
